Video: Causing a stir with Major’s new Agitator range

Irelands, "Agribusiness of the Year" winners, Major Equipment Ltd haven't been sitting on their laurels for long, they have just launched their new Slurry Agitator range for 2017. Having recently celebrated their 40th year in business, the Mayo family run firm know a thing or two about grassland and slurry equipment.

Aptly named the "Super" and "Mega" are ideal for your farmer or contractor.

Hooking up the implement couldn't be simpler with its quick hitch attachment. The pto shaft remains on the tractor at all times, both in and out of the tank. Lowering the agitator into the tank is achieved by lowering the rear lift arms and operating the hydraulic top link. Major base their agitators on what they call "The Diverter Box" design. What this does is allow for an efficient flow of slurry for both mixing and top filling. This helps in keeping diesel costs down and it also creates huge pressure for mixing with the largest in its range capable of pumping 22,700 litres per minute operating in the 1000 box mode.

The "Super" and "Mega" come in a fully galvanised frame, a "Chopper" blade, 310 degree movement of the spout on the horizontal and a 100 degree movement on the vertical.

Operating these machines on their galvanised walkways is very simple and even with the agitator going full belt, moving the mixing head up, down and around, is a simple job with no big effort required. It is a pump with literally phenomenal power. Working up to a depth of 8 feet, and with figures ranging from the base model, "Super 7" of 18,100 litres per minute to 22,700 for the "Mega 8", the Major Agitator range is fit for any job.
