A seven-year-old Australian boy has been making waves on social media after the story of his new business venture has gone viral.
The young farmer from Queensland, Robert French, has started a new enterprise on his family’s farm, where he sells bottled poo to tourists. The venture was started by the young entrepreneur a couple of years ago when his family’s farm were set to play host to over 300 hundred guests for a Party.
Robert then came up with the plan, with the help of his grandmother, to bottle cow poo and sell it to the guests.
“I came on my motorbike and I asked nanny if I could have a business. She said 'I'll think up some shit'”, he noted.
This is what gave Robert the bright idea and set him on his way to becoming one of Australia’s youngest businessmen.
"So off I went and got a bucket of cow poo, then we bottled it up in little mayonnaise bottles.”, added Robert.
He now spends his days scouring the family’s 35,000-hectare farm in search of the perfect dung and he even plans to take his business to a global scale. All dung collected are bottled into old mayonnaise bottles by the youngster himself, with only the highest grade dung making the cut. His mother also helps out with the process by adding handmade wooden tags to the bottles.
So popular is the bottled poo that the young farmer sold out within his first day of business making £1,000 for his produce. Robert says business is still as busy as ever.
“I can’t really keep up sometimes”, he said.
The bottles retail for $5 dollars (€3.17) each and Robert says he will consider spending some of his earnings on the purchase of a petrol car for his father.
“Daddy wants a petrol car, so I am thinking of buying him one of those”, said the youngster.
As mentioned, the young farmer hopes to begin selling his product on a global scale and is looking into building a website to allow him to do so.
“He is seven going on seventy, he is a little old man. He has a big future ahead of him”, said his grandmother.
