Datamars – an international firm – has been in animal identification for over thirty years and has an office located outside Dublin for the supply of sheep and cattle tags to the Irish market.
Datamars makes and sells ID products for livestock, pets and textiles through its sales and production facilities throughout Europe; America and the Asia-Pacific region.
In this video, Richard Nolan – General Manager – DATAMARS AGRI discusses its TagFaster System - a combination of an innovative tag and automatic dispenser offering total tagging convenience and speeds up to six times faster than traditional tagging, according to the company.
The electronic (FDX-B transponder) and visual tag are placed side-by-side in a 20-tag strip which eliminates the need to sort and match numbers. Welfare-friendly pin ensures that all ears are pierced with minimal tissue damage.
“The TagFaster’s horn ensures that the tags remain free from dirt and from snagging on any other animal while in the field,” Richard explained.
“The TagFaster’s horn also is clear; this ensures that the farmer can see exactly what they are doing when tagging the animal and allows you to get in close to the ear.”
“The TagFaster automatic tagger is the most efficient way to tag sheep in Ireland today,” Richard concluded.
