Located near Dubai, Camelicious is a working camel farm which produced more than 4,000,000 litres of milk in 2018.
Established in 2006, the farm, believed to be the first of its kind in the world, is home to 7,000 camels which produce about 6-litres of milk daily.
All processes are completed in-house, from milking to processing and producing more than forty different products such as yoghurt and ice-cream.
According to research, camel milk contains approximately 50% lower than cow’s milk.
It also has a high percentage of unsaturated fatty acids and is rich in Vitamin C, with the content of this immune-boosting vitamin between 3 to 5 times higher than cows’ milk, according to Camelicious.
Camel milk contains more calcium than other milks, which can help prevent osteoporosis. It is believed that there are no known allergies to camel milk.
The milk is also used for healing, beauty and well-being.
