Tom and Thomas Staunton – a father-and-son-duo - farm 400 Lanark-type ewes and a flock of pedigree Bluefaced Leicester sheep in Tourmakeady, Co. Mayo.
They specialise in breeding Mule ewe lambs; Tom inherited the farm from his father in 1980.
David Magee M.Agri. Sc – Ruminant Nutritionist at Kiernan Milling He has been working with the family for the past two seasons.
After the ewes were scanned in January, David visited the farm to obtain silage samples and balanced the flock’s diet accordingly with a suitable ration.
David continues to offer technical support to ensure that the Mask View flock reaches its maximum potential.
