Silver award winner at the 2019 LAMMA Innovation Awards, KUHN’s twin-reel film binding bale wrapping system has been noted for its advances in agricultural manufacturing. The film binding system was recognised in the Livestock Innovation category.
- Two standard 750mm stretch film rolls - improving silage preservation and easier recycling of waste plastic
- Reduces plastic usage by up to 30%
- 27kg rolls make loading is quicker and easier
According to KUHN, the film binding system is available on their i-BIO+ and FBP 3135 BalePack round baler-wrapper combination machines.
Both of these balers use KUHN’s IntelliWrap system that lets the operator wrap the bale with a number of different layers of film, as appropriate.
“These two machines can also, be used with conventional net binding: switching between film and net binding is quick and simple as the two systems are separate,” said a spokesperson for the company, as there is “enough space to carry film and net rolls at the same time”.
