A smaller entry of cattle went under the hammer, with poor demand for lighter, plainer cattle. Ewes with twin lamb hit €275, while cull ewes peaked at €125.
Quality in-spec stock met with a strong trade, with heifers topping at €875 over and bullocks making up to €825 over.
Friesian types and out-of-spec cattle remained difficult to sell at the last cattle sale of the year, according to Ann Harkin.
