An inquest has heard that a young farmer committed suicide the same day a veterinary practitioner euthanized his dog, following an illness, Farmers Guardian reported.
The 27-year-old farmer Owen Warren Calisle suffered a mental exhaustion and a breakdown, but “responded well to treatment” Malcom Thompson told those present at the inquest.
The young member of the farming community from Newcastle Emlyn, died on 8th June 2017.
The cause of his death was confirmed as a 1A hanging.
Senior coroner for Carmarthenshire, Mark Layton said “my conclusion is suicide”, Farmers Guardian revealed.
This tragedy provides us with a warning that Mental Health is a concern both sides of Irish Sea.
