According to Met Éireann, it is set to stay much milder this week with cloudy conditions overall and patchy rain at times.
Monday - Any lingering frost patches will clear early this morning, leaving a dry day for the most part and a mixture of hazy sunshine and cloudy intervals. Some patchy rain is likely at times over the course of the day, especially in western and northwestern coastal areas. Top temperatures on the day of 7 to 10 degrees Celsius with moderate southerly breezes, fresh along western coastal areas.
Monday night will see the cloudy weather continue, whilst it will also be breezy with some scattered patches of rain and drizzle, again mainly in the west of the country. Overnight temperatures should range from 3 to 6 degrees with fresh southerly winds, strong in western coastal counties.
Tuesday - Another cloudy day forecast for Tuesday, with some patchy rain and drizzle affecting western areas in the morning. These showers should spread eastwards by the afternoon, though it is expected to be quite dry overall with some occasional bright spells. It will continue to get milder as temperatures range from 11 to 13 degrees and fresh Southwesterly winds.
Wednesday - A dry day for the most part with the odd bright spells in places. It should remain cloudy and quite dull with some patches of rain and drizzle in the west and south of the country. It will be a mild but breezy day, with temperatures ranging from 10 to 13 degrees and fresh southerly winds.
A dry night forecast for Wednesday and it should also remain frost free, as temperatures remain between 6 and 8 degrees Celsius.
Thursday - Current forecasts suggest another dry and mild day on Thursday, as temperatures continue to rise and range from 11 to 14 degrees throughout the course of the day. Southerly breezes will be moderate.
Thursday night will see further dry weather, as temperatures ranging from 4 to 6 degrees in the east and north, and from 7 to 9 degrees elsewhere.
Friday - A dry start to Friday, before outbreaks of rain push into the west. This wet weather is expected to extend eastwards later in the day.A cooler night than previous nights forecast for Friday, with overnights lows of 1 to 4 degrees and a risk of frost in the east and north of the country.
