Rain and hail showers are expected today, merging to longer spells of rain at times, according to Met Éireann.
There is a risk of thunder, with any sleet or snow showers mainly confined to high ground.Temperatures will range from 4 to 8 degrees, dropping between 1 to 4 degrees tonight with frost in places.
Tonight - It will be breezy tonight, with showers mainly in Connacht, Ulster and north Leinster and more scattered in more southern counties, according to The Irish Meteorological Service.
Tuesday – It will be cool with rain in Connacht, Ulster and parts of North Leinster, tomorrow morning, with drier and brighter conditions elsewhere.
Rain will descend upon Munster and south Leinster in the afternoon, with temperatures ranging from 7 to 9 degrees Celsius.
It will be wet and windy on Tuesday night, with heavy falls of rain leading to spot flooding and some wintry falls on northern hills, according to Met Éireann.Temperatures will vary from 1 to 6 degrees Celsius – coldest over Ulster.
Wednesday – Similar conditions to that of Tuesday morning, with strong and gusty northwest winds also expected.
Clear spells and showers to follow later with some frost overnight with temperatures dropping between 1 to 4 degrees.
Thursday – Cool, bright and breezy with sunny spells and scattered, passing showers, Met Éireann said.It will be a lot colder, ranging from -2 to 2 degrees.
Friday – A mostly dry start with some heavy rain in places in the afternoon.
Overall, it will be cold, very unsettled and changeable through the week, with showers or longer spells of heavy rain, with some wintry falls and frost, according to Met Éireann.
