Passing showers – which will be heavy this morning – will become more widespread and frequent in the early afternoon, according to Met Éireann.
Rain will occasionally turn heavy and possibly thundery with highs of 15 to 18 degrees.
Tonight - Showers will gradually die out tonight with temperatures dropping between 7 to 9 degrees.
Tuesday – a largely dry day with spells of sunshine, with temperatures pushing up to 16 to 19 degrees.
Cloud will thicken in the south-west in the afternoon and rain is set to descend upon south-west costs; rain will spread across the country on Tuesday night, with lowest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees.
Wednesday – Overnight rain will clear, with sunshine and isolated showers in store for the rest of the day, according to Met Éireann.
Temperatures will range from 17 to 21 degrees – warmest across southern counties.
Thursday – Largely dry with sunny spells and a few light showers near west and north-west coasts with highs of 16 to 20 degrees.
Friday – a cloudier day with a chance of some rain with temperatures to be in the region of 17 to 21 degrees.
