Today, Friday, will be mostly cloudy again for the majority of the day. Most areas will remain dry, but outbreaks of rain will develop in the northwest and west during the late afternoon and evening. A cool day. Highest temperatures 10 to 12 degrees, but winds will be very light.
Friday night will see colder conditions develop overnight and there will be heavy showers mostly in western and northern area. Lowest temperatures of 3 and 6 degrees with some grass frost.
Saturday will again be cold, breezy and showery day. Sunny spells in all areas with occasional heavy rain and hail showers, especially in western and northern counties. There will be a risk of some thundery downpours and blustery especially near Atlantic coasts in a strong and gusty westerly wind.
Saturday night will turn very cold with widespread frost across the country. Showers will continue through western and northern counties and will be heavy and of hail, but will ease by morning.
Sunday will be a drier and brighter day with good sunshine, still some showers about in the morning but these will tend to die away. Cold in a moderate northwesterly breeze and highs of 7 to 10 degrees Celsius. There is frost expected for a time on Sunday night, but then becoming cloudy overnight with rain developing in western and northwest areas.
