This weekend is expected to remain dry, with patchy rain and drizzle in places, according to Met Éireann.
Friday - It is going to be mainly cloudy in the west and north of the country with some light rain and drizzle. It will, however, remain predominantly dry elsewhere. Maximum temperatures during the day of 13 to 15 degrees Celsius, with light to moderate southwest breezes.
Friday night will be dry and cloudy in most areas. There is also the possibility of some mist and fog patches forming, mainly in Atlantic coastal counties. Hill fog is also expected to form overnight, while it will remain mild with temperatures varying from 8 to 12 degrees Celsius with light to moderate breezes, southwesterly in direction.
Saturday - Another dry day forecast for Saturday with some bright spells, mainly in the east and south of the country. It will though be mainly cloudy on Saturday, with some patches of mist, fog and drizzle forming during the day, mainly in the west and northwestern coastal counties. It will be very mild with moderate south to southwest winds, fresher along the west and northern coastal areas. Maximum temperatures on the day of 14 to 18 degrees Celsius.
Saturday night will see rain becoming more persistent, especially in Atlantic coastal areas. This will, however, extend southeastwards across the country towards Sunday morning.
Sunday - A dull day to begin with on Sunday, with some scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle remaining persistent in Atlantic coastal areas. This rain will become more scattered and patchy elsewhere. Sunday will become a brighter and drier day as the afternoon progresses, though it will turn cold. This is due in part to moderate winds veering northwesterly in direction, fresher along northwestern coastal areas. Maximum temperatures on the day of 12 to 16 degrees Celsius, mildest in southeastern counties.
It will again be cold overnight on Sunday, with some patches of mist and fog expected to form and grass frost also forecast. Temperatures are expected to range from 2 to 6 degrees.
Next Week - Early indications suggest next week will be dry and bright to begin with, though it is expected to be quite cool.
