It will be fine and dry today with variable cloud and long sunny spells, according to Met Éireann.
Temperatures will reach 17 to 21 degrees — warmest in the north-west, with lows of 10 to 13 degrees tonight.
Tonight will remain dry in most areas with good clear spells; showery rain will spread into south-west Munster around daybreak.
Saturday — Good sunny spells over the north and east for a while, before showery rain gradually moves eastwards during the afternoon and evening.
Met Éireann predicts that rain will turn heavy over parts of Munster and Connacht late in the day, with some eastern counties remaining dry; highest temperatures of 18 to 21 degrees.
Sunday — It will be mostly cloudy, cooler and windy with further showery outbreaks of rain.
Some heavy downpours are possibly locally, with winds veering south-west will have eased and rain will clear in the evening.
