Frost will clear this morning, leaving a cold and mostly sunny day, according to Met Éireann.
It has warned that rain or hail showers will fall in eastern coastal counties.
Temperatures will reach 6 to 9 degrees in the afternoon, dropping between 0 and -3 Celsius tonight.It will be cold and frosty tonight with frost, mist and fog expected.
Saturday – The national forecaster predicts that it will cold and bright, with fog set to linger in places into the afternoon.
Thickening cloud will bring rain into western counties in the afternoon, however, the eastern half of the country will hold generally dry; highs of 4 to 8 degrees.
There will be frost in some eastern areas on Saturday night; it will be cloudier with rain at times, further west.
Sunday – There will be scattered outbreaks of rain for a period on Sunday.
This will gradually give way to drier, brighter conditions with some sunny breaks in the afternoon with highs of 6 to 8 degrees, according to Met Éireann.It will be cold and frosty on Sunday night, with patchy mist and fogs and lows of 0 to -3 degrees.
