Bright and fresh today with sunny spells and passing showers, according to Met Éireann.
Heavy showers are possible across the west, with temperatures set to reach between 14 to 16 degrees.
It will be dry tonight with long clear spells and lows of 5 to 8 degrees. “Winds will fall light and it will be noticeably cool; shallow fog patches inland.”
Tuesday – Dry with some sunshine over the south and east during the morning. Cloud will increase and rain will progress, spreading to most parts during the afternoon and evening.
Met Éireann predicts that rain will turn persistent across Connacht and Ulster; highs of 16 to 18 degrees.
It looks set to be wet and windy for most parts of the country on Tuesday night, although rain is expected to clear by morning.
Wednesday – Conditions will be bright and fresh, although sunny spells and scattered showers in blustery, westerly winds are expected; highs of 15 to 17 degrees.
Thursday – Outbreaks of rain and drizzle – which are likely to be more persistent and heavier across Ulster and Connacht. Temperatures will reach 16 to 20 degrees.
Friday and weekend – Early indications suggest that it will be mostly dry, with mixed sunshine and highs of 15 to 20 degrees.
