Last week, close to 5,000 cattle left Irish shores destined for Turkey.
It is believed 3,000 weanling bulls and just under 2,000 weanling heifers set sail in two different lots.
The cattle are reported to have left on Saturday.
Purcell Brothers, trading since 1970 sent the weanling bulls to the East, while exporter John Hallisey was responsible for the shipment of the heifers.
Further shipments are believed to take place next month.
