Despite deteriorating weather conditions, trade remained firm for all categories of stock at Castlerea Mart on Thursday (August 6th), according to Brendan Egan.
The mart manager noted that bullocks, in particular, were a “very lively” trade with the top-quality stores making some “very fancy prices”.
“The heifer and cow trade remained unchanged while the weanling trade has started on a bright note with demand strong for the quality weanlings.”
