With lambing season underway on many farms and increased reports of sheep attacks in recent weeks, the IFA have called for the re-airing of a TV ad from the 1980’s. Watch the advert and read more below.

With lambing well underway and increased incidences of sheep attacks and worrying throughout the country, the IFA have warned dog owners of their responsibility for their pets, warning of that they will be held accountable, legally and financially, for any damage caused by their animals.

The IFA’s National Sheep Chairman, Sean Dennehy, also called for Minister Creed to re-run an advertising campaign on the topic from the 1980’s. The advert reminds dog owners of their responsibilities and of the dangers of letting their pets out at night.

The main message of the campaign was “Keep your dog under control. Running free he can be a killer”. Watch the ad campaign below and let us know what you think in our poll below.

Do you think it should be re-aired?
