An appeal has been made by the National Ploughing Association and An Garda Síochána for the owner of a wallet found last week during the Ploughing Championships.
The wallet was found by officials during the extensive clean up operation of the Ploughing site. Gardaí say there was money found in the wallet, along with cards and the person’s identification.
This is the second reported wallet to have been lost at this year’s event, with an 81 year old Wexford having lost his as well. His daughter made appeals for anyone who found it to please return it, whether it still contains money or not. The man’s wallet had contained over €500, his driving licence, PPS cards and bank card.
Anyone with any information regarding the latest wallet found,or if you think it might be yours, are urged to contact the Garda station in Tullamore on 057 - 9327600.
