A horse had to be rescued by firefighters after falling down a sixteen-foot bank on Monday afternoon (May 25th).
Crews from Chatteris, Sutton and Dogsthorpe were called to the scene of the incident in Chatteris.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service, said: “The horse had fallen down a sixteen-foot bank in Chatteris. Using a nearby farmer’s telehandler, the horse was successfully rescued.”
“After being checked over by a vet, the horse was found to have no serious injuries.”
The horse is “recovering well at home with her owner” according to the spokesperson.
