A West of Ireland-based veterinary practice has posted a short video of a “must-see” calving case on its Facebook page.
A vet at George O Malley’s practice, demonstrates how a calving jack is used in conjunction with the cow’s effort.
“It [a calving jack] should never be used as a blunt instrument to extract a calf in a hurry. As you can see here, time and patience does the job.” the social media post explained.
