A UK Company have launched a Tinder-style application for cows, making the breeding process much simpler for farmers.

You may think this is something out of a dream, however, the rumours are true as a UK company have launched the world’s first ever matchmaking app for cows!

The application, which is called Tudder, is set for release this coming Valentine’s Day, February 14th, and has been likened to the Tinder dating app! The application was designed by the livestock trading company Hectare Agritech and is integrated with the SML website and aims to link UK breeders with others within the UK all through the swipe of a finger.

How it works -

Tudder works in a similar way to Tinder, with the app using a swipe system for farmers to choose the perfect match for their stock.

Farmers simply swipe right to choose an animal or left to reject the suggested animal. The app allows farmers to identify the perfect breeding stock and partner for their cows, giving them details of the chosen stock, such as age and location.

When using the app, farmers have to list whether they are looking for breeding cows or a breeding bull. Once they choose their perfect match, they are redirected to the SellMyLivestock website which is integrated with the app.

Here farmers can search through photos of the animals in question and learn more about the stock listed. If the farmer is happy with his/her choice, they can then move onto agreeing a price with the other farmer.

Tudder contains profiles of animals from in excess of 43,000 farms throughout the UK, which equates to almost one-third of all farms in the UK.

“The app, designed by SellMyLivestock, seeks to unite sheepish farm animals with their soulmates, featuring data-profiles of farm animals from 42,000 farms across the UK.” Developers posted.

“Playing the role of moo-pid, farmers can download the app, and through their phone swipe right for yes and left for no in the search for the perfect match.”

Could we soon be seeing something similar in Ireland? Heres to hoping!

You can download the Tudder App from February 14th/Valentines Day via iTunes here.
