Trueman Limousins gearing-up for online sale

Trueman Limousins has just launched its sales catalogue for the select online sale set to take place on Saturday, August 8th at 1pm.

This highly anticipated sale represents almost 25 years of successful Limousin breeding by Henry Savage and sons who have made headlines all around the globe when their bull Trueman Jagger, sold for the world record price of 140,000 guineas in 2015.

There are several lots included in the sale which can be traced back to similar bloodlines as Jagger.

These include the cow and bull calf outfit, Trueman Lulu and Rick. (lots 2)

There is just one bull approaching service age for sale in the form of lot 1, Trueman Pharrell, sired by Telfers Munster and out of the RUAS Interbreed Champion Trueman Lute (by Haltcliffe Hi-tec).

“Pharrell shows tremendous promise at just 12 months of age and will bring to the table genetics and quality to suit any herd.”

Trueman Euphonium became a household name in 2011 when she earned the accolade of national champion at the 40th anniversary held in Carlisle.

Euphonium has had a profound impact on the Trueman herd with twelve daughters retained as brood cows.

She has two granddaughters listed in the form of Ora and Olympia; these are both running with Telfers Munster and will be scanned ahead of the sale.

Rising yearling heifers

There are four rising yearling heifers to choose from all of which are sired by the impressive Telfers Munster.

These are the first of Munster’s daughters to be released for auction and pre-sale has been strong to date, according to the breeders.

Embryos

The Savages are also offering two recipients and a small number of embryos in the online auction.

“These carry bloodlines that do not come onto the open market and will be sought after for sure.”
