John Dineen, a well-known haulier, was laid to rest on November 22nd.
He worked with Martin Ryan Haulage LTD for many years, delivering feed and fertiliser to farmers in the vicinity.
In a post on social media, the haulage company paid tribute to their former employee: “It is with deep sadness that all in Martin Ryan Haulage got the news on the passing of John Dineen.”
“John was a friend, a gent and a brilliant worker. John finished work last year to be with his wife Nora, who was ill at the time and also passed away a short time ago R.I.P.”
“Even though John finished work, he was still working and looking after all in Martin Ryan’s giving directions to every farmer - No sat nav needed when John was on the other end of the phone.”
“John, R.I.P. and I hope you will be still guiding us along the roads to the farmers in the area.”
“We would like pass our condolences to Johns family at this sad time
“John, thank you for all the years and I can say from everyone in Martin Ryan Haulage, you will be hugely missed.” the post concluded.
A testament to the man John was
In an additional post on November 29th, the haulage company, said: “We were delighted to be asked by John’s family and to give John the send-off he deserved.”
“The turnout at the funeral was a testament to the man that John was. Again, John thank you for all the years. RIP John & Nora.” the post concluded.
