A tractor-run organisation - Dublin2Mayo - has raised a whopping €120,00 for charity. A large crowd gathered for a presentation that was held in the Kiltimagh Park Hotel, Co. Mayo last Saturday (July 6th) which saw The National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dublin, Mullingar Paediatrics and Castlebar Paediatrics receive €40,000 each.
Speeches were made by Grassmen’s Gareth Gault, Adrian Maye and Michael Fitzmaurice TD, who outlined the chosen charity for next year’s run, which will be The Daisy Lodge Cancer Care Centre in Cong, Co. Mayo.
In his speech, Michael Fitzmaurice TD said, “The changes that these people have made to the lives of others is unique. All I can say is well done”.
Last year, the Dublin2Mayo Charity run raised €96,424 for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin and the Special Care Baby Unit in Mayo University Hospital.
