Top Things to do this Weekend
- Guided Walk- The Glasshouses of Glasnevin
Tomorrow, Saturday 7th of January, will see the roll-out of this month’s Themed Guided Walk of The Glasshouses of Glasnevin, hosted by National Botanic Gardens of Ireland.
From Richard Turners iconic curvilinear range to the tropical collection of the Great Palm house, attendees will receive the opportunity to explore the beauty and history of the fantastic Victorian Glasshouses.
The walk will commence at 3pm and will last for approximately one hour.
Meet in the Education and Visitor Centre and entry is €5 per person.
The three remaining walks will take place on 14th, 21st and 28th of January.
- Operation Transformation Walk in Kilkenny
Beat those January blues and kick start the year with an Operation Transformation walk, in conjunction with Kilkenny Recreation and Sports Partnership this Saturday!
Three walks have been organised across the Kilkenny region- Castle Park, 10.30, Castlecomer Discovery Park, 11am and Ferrybank AFC 11am See further details here
- Wellness Session
The Osprey Fitness & Leisure Club, Osprey Hotel and Spa, Devoy Quarter, Naas, will host an open day tomorrow, Saturday, 7th of January, from 1pm to 5pm.
Further to this, the club will run a Week of Wellness, from the 8th to the 13th of January with daily activities and free classes for all.
Throughout the week there will guest appearances from leading experts in the fitness industry, free face painting and games for the kids, activities and several other events. A full programme will be available shortly.

- Charity Yoga
The Yoga of Sustainable Energy: Charity Class for Climate Change
Start the New Year on a high note, this Saturday, and join Michael Ryan for a 90 minute Bowspring Yoga practice, which will focus on the Art of Sustainable Energy.
YogaHub's intention this year is to increase our responsibility of caring for the planet.
Following the class, members of Global Action Plan will lead a brief discussion on ways to reduce your Carbon Footprint at home.
All proceeds will go to Global Action Plan. The activity is suitable for all levels.
Doors will open at 10am at CHQ Building, Dublin.

- Fun Run
This Sunday, the Louth Hunt in conjunction with Piperstown Equestrian,
Piperstown, Ballymakenny Road, Drogheda,and Termonfeckin Macra Na Feirme will host a Fun Run around the parish of Monasterboice. The event is due to start at Piperstown Equestrian Centre at 1.00 pm.
Three groups will be leaving at 10 minute intervals. Categories include Open ,Intermediate and Happy Hackers.
Entry for adults is €30 and kids are €20.
