McCarthy’s Pub in Fethard, Co. Tipperary are going out of their way to show customers that they are using only Irish beef in their restaurant.
In a sign posted in the pub, as tweeted by @cahill_jamie, owners not only showcase the herd number of the beef products used, but also the approval number of the slaughterhouse and the approval number of Cutting halls.
The sign also states the Member state of the Slaughterhouse and cutting halls used in the production of the beef used. Owners also state, in the sheet posted on the premises, that any individual batch numbers can be provided to customers upon request.
Now that’s what you call traceability!
