A recently founded Animal Sanctuary in Co. Tipperary, Second Chance Farm, have launched a GoFundMe Campaign, in a bid to raise vital funds to keep their animals.

Second Chance Farm is an animal Sanctuary based near Ballingarry in Co. Tipperary.

The farm is described as a “safe haven” for animals who were rescued from less than ideal situations. The sanctuary takes in rescue animals in from all over the country and all animals are either housed in the barn or one of twelve stables on site.

All animals are also given ample time to be social and interact with each other during the day, before being brought back in again at night for safety purposes.

“Every animal we take in are treated like royalty and so they should” owners posted.

The sanctuary began their rescue initiative with the rescue of five dogs and five kittens and now they have in excess of 30 animals including horses, pigs, poultry, goats, ponies donkeys and more!

Fundraising

The team behind Second Chance Farm recently launched a fundraising initiative via GoFundMe, in a bid to continue their good work.

They aim to raise a total of €2,000, which owners say will go towards the building of further shelters, the purchase of a trailer and the renting of further land. They plan in the future to turn their sanctuary into a safe haven not only for animals, but also children and animals with disabilities, allowing them to visit the farm and interact with the animals.

“Any donations would be greatly appreciated towards the build of the animal sanctuary” owners urged.
