A case of too little too late? As the Minister said in the Dail this week that an additional 1000 Green Cert Courses would be offered by Teagasc.
The Minister for Agriculture speaking in the Dail this week said that Teagasc would be in a position to offer 1000 Green Cert Courses this year. The Ministers comments have come after scrutiny over the problem of Teagasc teachers in the NorthWest (where now 15 temporary positions have been created.)
The news of the 1000 places is however not enough due to a backlog of several thousand young farmers waiting to do their course.
The Minister has ruled out the Green Cert being scraped.

Do you think the Green cert should be abandoned?
