Storm Eleanor is heading this way, with Met Éireann warning of gusts up to 130km/hr in places. They also warn that wind speeds could reach up to 80km/hr. They warn that there will be very high seas, in Atlantic coastal counties in particular, with a risk of coastal flooding.
They have issued an orange wind Warning for Munster, Leinster and south Galway, with Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Roscommon, Tipperary and Waterford issued with a yellow warning. They should experience wind speeds as high as 65km/hr, with gusts up to 110km/hr, with Met Éireann warning that further damaging gusts are likely on Wednesday.
