The entire country is being placed under a status yellow snow/ice warning from 6am tomorrow (Tuesday, February 25th).
Wintry showers, mainly of hail and sleet, will become increasingly widespread during Tuesday leading to icy patches, according to Met Éireann.
The national forecaster warned that some snow accumulations will also occur.
The warning, which was issued at 2pm this afternoon (Monday, February 24th) is valid until 9am on Wednesday (February 26th).
