A Co. Carlow-based manufacturer has unveiled a four-axle silage trailer which has been purchased by Robinson Farms, New Mexico, USA.
The 70 cubic metres trailer – which weight 11-tonnes empty - has been fitted with a Distag-forced steering system for the front and rear steering axles and 600/55-26.5 BKT 177D-rated tyres, according to Smyth Trailers.
It also has air/hydraulic brakes, a hydraulic jack, hydraulic fold-down front and a Lincoln automatic greasing system.
The trailer – which costs €65,000 (plus V.A.T.) - is 32ft long and can carry up to 36t, according to its manufacturers.
