Ivan Scott took first place in Open and Speed Shearing

Ivan Scott took first place in the All-Ireland Open and Speed Shearing Competition in Cashel recently, where over 4,000 people gathered to watch him in action.

There was a hog roast, BBQ, and live music that created a festive atmosphere on Saturday, May 26th.

Sunday was the day that the top shearers from Ireland and abroad competed to win the All-Ireland and All-Nations titles to secure a place in the world sheep shearing championships in 2020.

There were also dog trials held for those who were attracted by something different. Members of the Tipperary food producers network had a great day out displaying their produce and members of the ICA displayed the crafts of spinning and weaving.

Veterinary experts also delivered talks on topical animal health issues.
