Sixty-five sheep were brought to safety after becoming trapped on sea cliffs.
RSPCA Cymru and fire crews led the ten-day rescue operation at Mathry in Pembrokeshire, West Wales.
RSPCA specialist rope rescue teams and a mountaineering rope rescue expert were in attendance.
It is understood that the sheep were chased by a dog.
RSPCA Animal Welfare Officer Andrew Harris said: “This has been a long and difficult rescue and the most technical rescue we have had to deal with.”
