The Minister for Agriculture Michael Creed has today said that the Saudi ban on sheepmeat imports from Ireland it’s been reported.
The news was announced today as part of the Ministers visit to the Middle East.
The ban was signed by Saudia authorities this morning and will receive official authorisation in coming days.
The sheepmeat must be halal for the Saudi market.
the middle east trip has been lauded as a success with other deals being signed including further access for Irish beef into the Saudi market.
