All roads will lead to 'The Dome' in Kerry for the next week, for the annual festival, an entry which is now deeply rooted in the calendar of thousands.
The festival kicked-off on Wednesday 16th August last and the Roses and their Escorts are set to journey around Ireland, to experience a once-in-a-life opportunity until Tuesday 22nd of August.
The pinnacle of the event is drawn to the crowning of the Rose of Tralee.
Many have travelled the hop and jump of the Irish sea in order to descend upon the prestigious competition, as the 2017 calendar marks the fifty-eighth Rose of Tralee International Festival.
Last year's winner, the Chicago Rose, Maggie Rose McEldowney is set to hand over her silverware to the newly crowned 2017.
From thousands of applications filed from around the emerald isle and indeed the globe, entries have been whittled down to a hopeful sixty-four ladies.
Thirty-two of this successful candidates will make it to the stage, televised by RTE.
Dáithí O’ Sé will officiate as the presenter for the duration of the festival, now in his eighth year.
The show will be broadcast this Monday 21st August and Tuesday 22nd August on RTE one.
For international visitors, the show will be streamed on RTÉ’s Player International.
Exclusive clips are set to feature on RTÉ Player.
A new app has been launched, in order to keep up-to-date.
This year is no different to previous proceedings, as the calendar is once again jam-packed with an exciting programme of events.
Highlights include a Parade, a 60 Years of Fashion Event, Taste Kerry, Street Market and Norah Casey’s Woman Academy.
