Tractor run season continues and members from Roscommon Macra na Feirme club have been preparing for their first-ever tractor run in Brideswell, Co, Roscommon.
“This is the first year for our charity tractor run, and hopefully not the last.” said Melissa, one of the organisers to That’sFarming.
The run will take place on Sunday, February 3rd, with registration from 12pm on the day and all welcome to attend. There is a registration fee of €20 per tractor for the event, with the run departing from Hamrocks Pub in Brideswell, near Athlone at 1pm sharp.
“The entry fee for each tractor is €20 and donations can also be made on the day through IWA bucket collections or donations during tractor registration from 12-1pm” Melissa said.
The run will then depart from Brideswell itself, before passing through Dysart and then Taughmaconnell. The parade of tractors will then turn around and head back towards Brideswell, where attendees will be greeted with finger food, refreshments and “a bit of craic” at Hamrock’s bar.
“We are gathering in Hamrocks, Brideswell for finger food and refreshments after the tractor run.” Melissa said.
The charitable initiative has been organised by Macra members in aid of Cuisle Accessible Holiday Resort, which is the Irish Wheelchair Association’s National Holiday centre and Ireland’s leading wheelchair accessible holiday resort. Get further information on the resort here.
