Allingham Quadcrate LTD was founded in 2009 with a view to making ATVs/Quads more versatile in order to complete farm tasks more efficiently.
The result was a product called the QUADCRATE®; the firm – based in Garrison, Fermanagh - has since released a range of ATV attachments and implements to complement its initial creation.
The QUADCRATE fits onto the back of the ATV/quad via the tow ball and a suspension bracket which is fastened onto the back-bale rack.
The company – which has scooped many awards – has several different packages available including fencing, hillcrate, highland, equestrian, lambing, postholder and a quadcrate amongst others; all products carry the CE certification mark.
This package aids operators in achieving higher work rates per day, saving labour in the process; it leaves jobs less strenuous and will make your ATV an essential tool on your farm, the company claim.
This package consists of;
- 1 x Quadcrate plus suspension bracket;
- 1 x Sheepcage (2 positions);
- 1 x Bank Postholder;
- 1 x Lamb-box kit;
- 1 x Front Toolbox.
Its Quadcrate is capable of carrying different objects, ewes and lambs and can be used as a delivering table.A lid can be fitted on its Sheepcage in order to secure lively sheep or dogs, the company outlined.
The Lamb box is used for sheltering lambs when found outside, cold in lambing season. There are two sections in the box - one is a bedded area for lambs and the other area is for veterinary materials. This product is dual-purpose so when not lambing, the two sections can become one.
“We on our home farm have used one for years and it has allowed one person to be in full control.” William Allingham – founder said.
“Even with never ending issues, one person was able to cope, cutting labour costs and increasing lambing percentages.” He added.
