A quad bike was stolen from a farm in Co. Laois, only to be recovered by Gardaí yesterday.
The bike was taken overnight on Sunday the 8th of October, it is thought between the hours of 5pm (Sunday) to 4am(Monday). It was taken from a farm on the Edenderry Road area of Portarlington.
The quad bike was eventually recovered near the entrance to Bord na Mona Bog, just over a kilometre away, yesterday morning. Gardaí are now searching for the whereabouts of the joyrider.

In other news, A digger and other equipment were taken from a business in Co. Laois over the weekend.
They are thought to have been stolen between the times of 10:30 pm and 4am on Sunday night and the culprits took off in a Red VW Caddy van. They got away with the bobcat on a car trailer on the rear of the van.
They were taken from a business in Wolfhill Co. Laois, and the people guilty were seen travelling towards Wolfhill in the direction of the N78 Athy to Castlecomer road. The digger, a bobcat/Skidsteer digger, in question is estimated to be worth €6,000.
