A farmer in Co. Armagh has received good news today, as a tractor stolen in December of last year has now been recovered. Get the story in full below.

A tractor which was stolen from a farm in Co. Armagh last year has been recovered by the PSNI they have confirmed.

The tractor (a Massey Ferguson 250) was first stolen from a farmyard on the Annahugh Road in Loughgall Co. Armagh in December of last year, leading to investigations by the PSNI. The owner of the tractor has received good news today, as the tractor was recovered this morning (January 9th) just over 13miles away on the Castleblayney road in Keady, Co. Armagh.

“Following the report of the theft of a red Massey Ferguson 250 tractor between 21st and 24th December, an investigation was commenced.” A PSNI spokesperson stated.

“As part of this investigation officers from Armagh Neighbourhood Policing Team worked with An Garda Siochana, local representatives and appealed for information on the local Facebook page…As a result the tractor was recovered at premises on the Castleblayney Road in Keady today (Wednesday).” They continued.

The PSNI are now seeking information from the public in relation to the incident, with people urged to contact them on 101 if they can help identify those involved in the theft.

“The team would like to thank all those who have provided information in relation to this incident and would continue to appeal to anyone with information which could assist them to identify those involved in the theft to contact the Neighbourhood Team in Armagh on 101 quoting reference number 648 24/12/18.”
