A pro-vegan advertising campaign has been erected near Granard Farmers Mart in Longford.

Pro-vegan advertisements have been causing a stir as of late, no more so than one posted in close proximity to Granard Farmers mart in Co. Longford.

The advert was posted recently, sparking outrage amongst the agricultural community. The poster has been condemned by locals and we were alerted to the situation by one such local.

The advert paints a poor picture of farmers, condemning them for butchering animals. The poster, is the same of which was posted in the UK recently by the Pro-vegan group ‘Go Vegan World’. We reported on that incident, which you can read here.

The group are again behind this poster, which reads “They Trust us. We take them from their mothers & Butcher them”. The advert also shows a picture of a woman embracing a cow. One local described the advert as "disgraceful" and called for its immediate removal.

What do you think of the poster? Should it be taken down? Is this unfair to farmers? Have your say and take out poll below!

I don't see how this can be offensive to people. It's just saying it how it is. If farmer's believe what they do is ok then they shouldn't be concerned. The truth is that deep down they know how cruel and unnecessary this killing is.

It is the Truth. People that do not like it have cognitive dissonance.

I can't see any part of it that's not true. Why would it make anyone feel uncomfortable? What a strange society we live in where stating the truth creates controversy!!

I don't see a problem with it. Is it true? YES! I think it strikes a nerve of guilt with some. Sorry , but if the truth hurts.....change it.
