Michael Gallagher, the Postman from Donegal who has become famous due to his annual weather predictions, has issued his forecast for the coming Christmas.
Mr. Gallagher predicts the weather by analysing the behaviour of plants and animals, traditional methods he picked up off from people who have now passed away. The postman, who has now been predicting the weather for over three decades, gave his latest prediction to RSVP Live, telling them there will be no white Christmas this year.
"There'll be no white Christmas," he said.
"Overall, the winter won't be too bad after all.”
He did warn that there will be cold snaps, however, though they will be sporadic.
“There'll be cold snaps, on and off, but overall I'd be happy enough with it." said the postman.
The Donegal man warned that January will be a month to watch, adding that he will be monitoring it closely.
"January is one to watch," Michael said.
"I'll be keeping an eye on it." He continued.
