Going under the hammer in an upcoming Public Auction is a 220-acre residential farm in Kilmacthomas Co. Waterford, formally used for intensive sheep and beef farming.

Harty Auctioneers are set to host the Public auction of a 220-acre Residential farm at the Park Hotel, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford on Wednesday, March 6th.

The farm in question totals 89 hectares altogether and is located at Faha, Kilmacthomas, Co. Waterford. It will go under the hammer from 2:30pm on the day unless sold prior to the auction date.

The Farm -

The highly sought-after farm is located in the Middle of Waterford county, approximately half a mile from the N25 at Faha.

The land is naturally divided into four roadside division and will be offered for sale in five different lots. The land was formerly used for intensive sheep and beef systems, with the land of excellent quality and in permanent pasture.

The land also comes with extensive road frontage on two roads and fields are laid out in good sized divisions for easy management. The land is currently being maintained to a high standard by its current tenants.

178-acres of the land (72 Hectares) is currently under lease until December 31st 2024, with the tenants to remain unaffected by the sale. A further 23-acres of land is under lease until December 31st 2019. Note - Full details of lease agreements are available upon request.

Farm Facilities -

The farmyard and many buildings are located adjacent to the residence on site.

Featured on the farm is a slatted house, two walled silage pits, a Purpose built sheep housing facility, a 6-span hay shed and a range of cut stone slated-out buildings, currently being kept as lambing pens. These would also be suited for use as stables.

The Residence -

The farmhouse included in the sale is situated on an elevated site with panoramic views of the Comeragh Mountains and the surrounding countryside.

The period-style property in question has three bedrooms, two reception rooms, a hall, a kitchen and two bathrooms. It is in need of modernisation, though would be an ideal project for the right party as it has a lot of potential.

Surrounding the residence is a walled garden, which has been described as a “blank canvas” for horticultural enthusiasts.

As mentioned, the farm will be offered for sale at the Public Auction in five separate lots, the details of which you can see below.

Lot 1: 29.18 Hectares (72.106 acres)

Lot 2: 41.74 Hectares (103.150 acres) with residence and farm buildings

Lot 3: 11.86 Hectares (29.3 acres)

Lot 4: 6.22 Hectares (15.36 acres)

Lot 5: The Entire holding.
