PHOTOS: Tractor driver has lucky escape

An agri and plant sales machinery firm assisted with a clean-up operation last week after a tractor collided with a tree.

A 20-year-old tractor driver was hospitalised following the single-vehicle collision.

The incident occurred in the Dunmoe area of Navan, Co. Meath shortly after 4pm on Thursday, July 23rd, as reported by us here.

The driver sustained, what are thought to be non-life-threatening injuries, and was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, according to Gardaí.

In a post on social media, Goff Agri & Plant Sales, said: “We are glad to hear that this man got out of this wreck and should probably do the lotto tonight.”

“It was also nice to see that one of our 956 loaders was able to help get the clear up done. Well done to all.”
