PHOTOS: Over 300 lots to go under the hammer at machinery auction

Hennessy Auctioneers will host their next monthly farm and plant machinery auction at the old mart in Portlaoise, Co. Laois this Saturday (June 27th).

There will be over 300 lots on offer at the auction, which will get underway at 11.30am sharp.

There will be no tool auction this month due to Covid-19 restrictions, with farm machinery and larger items set to go under the hammer.

Executor and special retirement sale

Speaking to That’s Farming, John Hennessy, said: “This auction will include an executor sale and a special retirement sale on behalf of a midlands farmer.”

“This will be our first online auction which will be held alongside a normal physical bidding auction, albeit, with social distancing guidelines in place.”

All bidders must register at the auction or bid online. A refundable bidding deposit is required to register – €100 if attending the auction or €500 if bidding online.

The online auction will be hosted on the popular LSL Livestock Live app, with the catalogue set to be published this evening (Thursday, June 25th).

Viewing and bidding

Gates open for viewing all day Thursday and Friday from 9am to 5pm and on the morning of auction from 8.30am.

It is recommended that all people intending to bid, register before Saturday to avoid unnecessary delays on the morning of the auction
