A bog fire recently broke out in a peatland near Mountmellick, Co. Laois.
Fire crews from both Mountmellick and Portarlington attended the scene to deal with the blaze.
They were assisted by both Bord na Móna and the Irish Air Corp, who assisted by dropping water over the area.
The Laois County Fire & Rescue documented the incident on their Facebook page, which occurred yesterday afternoon (May 11th), and they warned that conditions are very dry and great caution needs to be taken.
