Plans have been announced during the week to turn an Old creamery in Co. Leitrim into a museum.
The Creamery is located in Kiltoghert in county Leitrim, and an application for planning permission has been made.
The plan is to turn the creamery into a museum with a visitors centre, showcasing artefacts from the old creamery.
The building was first built in 1901 and up until 2013 it was fully intact, when the main building was knocked down despite a local campaign.
There is still a co-op located on the site, which is owned by Aurivo.
The project is fronted by a group called ‘Friends of Kiltoghert’ and they plan to have it completed within two years.
