The driver of a van, who was pulling a trailer with a mini-digger on it, was stopped by Gardaí earlier today, February 1st, on speeding offences.The driver in question was stopped by Gorey Roads Policing on the M11 in Co. Wexford, traveling at 117km/hr. The limit for towing vehicles on a motorway in Ireland is set at 80km/hr, meaning the driver was 37kms/hr over the total.
An Garda Síochána have warned other motorists against speeding, especially in the icy conditions currently experienced countrywide.
