The man who was fatally injured after part of a shed roof collapsed has been named locally.
Gerard Naughton (better known as Gerry) - a married father-of-three - tragically lost his life in an accident in Killeen near Ballindine in Co. Mayo on Wednesday (January 9th) afternoon.
It is understood that the farmer - who is believed to be aged 50 - died when demolishing a shed.
His remains were removed to Mayo University Hospital where a post-mortem examination was carried out on Thursday (January 10th) to determine the medical cause of death.
The Health and Safety Authority and Gardaí are continuing to investigate the accident.
